I build AI tools as a software engineer, and I've taught adults a new script from zero since 2020. I don't sell or recommend any particular AI product. I'll tell you what a tool is good for, where it isn't, and when you don't need AI at all.

In every session
A few minutes of every session go to using the right amount of AI for the job. Everyday text chat has a small energy footprint. Most of the energy goes to video generation, always-on reasoning modes, models bigger than the task needs, and automations left running unattended. Those are often where the bill goes too.
